Job Summary
The Medical Family Therapist participates in the clinical operations of Greene County Health Care Inc. by providing mental health services for patients in need and collaborating with the medical provider and other members of the health care team as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provides Mental Health services that include behavioral health assessments and evaluation, including diagnostic impressions and functional status focused on the presenting problem, evidence-based brief therapy interventions aligned with the treatment models adopted by the GCHC Behavioral Health Program, collaborative treatment plans and follow up with the providers.
  • Provides mental health services as set fourth in the Scope of Work.
  • Fulfills all clinical paperwork requirements including concise documentation of care and recommendations in patient's medical record consistent with the guidelines as set forth in the Behavioral Health Program Training Manual.
  • Provides records of all services and weekly invoices of who, what and when patients receive services.
  • Refers patients to medical specialist or other practitioners for specialized treatment.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Graduate of an accredited university with a Masters degree in Family Therapy, Medical Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Social Work or a relative field of study.
  • Maintain valid professional license in discipline of clinical practice.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
