The primary role of the Service Line Quality Liaison is to support the quantitative, strategic, and non-clinical quality needs of the service line. The role exists to improve quality performance of the service line by enhancing the administrative attention to detail in the areas of quality analysis and other special projects.Collaborates with Vidant Medical Center Office of Quality. Coordinates regulatory compliance and accreditation tracking for the Service Line. Collaborates with Vidant Medical Center Infection Control. Coordinates Risk Avoidance activities for the Service Line. Collaborates and coordinates activities with Service Line leadership to achieve quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with Vidant Medical Center Office of Quality. Reviews records, participates in root cause analysis, serves as clinical expert to do a gap analysis, assists with RN peer review, assesses staff competency and orientation via chart audits, assists with integration for Medical Staff Leadership and participates in assessment and implementation of Service Quality action plans.
Coordinates regulatory compliance and accreditation tracking for the Service Line. Uses knowledge of JCAHO and DFS standards, collects data and prepares reports in support of accreditation standards, routinely reviews charts for compliance with JCAHO standards and NPSQ, and rounds and assesses staff knowledge of JCAHO standards.
Collaborates with Vidant Medical Center Infection Control. Assists with development implementation and evaluation of programs to prevent infections, reviews clinical practice to assess compliance with expected infection control practices, and coordinates implementation of process change associated with infection control practices.
Coordinates Risk Avoidance activities for the Service Line. Role model behaviors, assists with integration and support for Behavior Based Expectations (BBE) and Red Rule compliance, Participates in FMEA's, assists with development implementation and evaluation of programs to prevent unanticipated events involving patients, employees, visitors, and others, and reviews high risk patient charts for quality of care, best practices and compliance regulations.
Collaborates and coordinates activities with Service Line leadership to achieve quality outcomes. Acts as change agent for best practice. Manages information to meet organizational expectations. Reports data to managers, physicians and groups that are key change agents. Develops effective processes for regular communication with service line VP.
Minimum Position Requirements
Masters degree required in Nursing Nursing required.
Minimum of three years progressively related work experience required.
Licenses in NC and national certification in the professional clinical discipline.
Experience with performance improvement, patient safety and quality. Clinical performance improvement skills
Critical thinking skills. Strong Interpersonal skills.
Preferred Requirements
Ability to motivate and encourage staff to understand their quality outcomes and how they can improve those outcomes.
Ability to work closely with managers and staff and do walking real time audits observing staff interacting with patients.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
