The Hematology Department performs Hematology, Urinalysis and Coagulation testing. We also staff three (3) off site satellite labs providing the opportunity to work in both large and small lab settings.
Hematology Lab Highlights:
Performs over 1,700,000 tests annually
Highly automated lab including the following instrumentation: Beckman Coulter DxH 800 Blood Analyzer with Slidemaker Stainer, Cellavision Digital Morphology Analyzer, Siemens BCSXP Coagulation system and IRIS IQ 200 Automated Urinalysis System.
Accredited by the College of American Pathologists

Responsibilities
Prepare patient specimens as required for laboratory testing.
Perform laboratory tests to include complete cell count and differential, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, coagulation screens and clotting factor assays, chemical and microscopic analysis or urine and body fluid analysis.
Monitor test results to assure test quality and validity.
Communicate test results in a timely manner. Enter and retrieve data from laboratory computer system.
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and environment.
May assist in orientation of new employees and students.
Demonstrate appropriate, caring behavior in the workplace, treating patients, their families, visitors and staff with respect and dignity.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
B.S. in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited college or university.
ASCP registered or eligible.
Other Information
TWO (2) Full Time Position - 40 hours/week.
Position may include rotation at satellite labs which include phlebotomy.
Hours: 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm or 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, includes every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.
