Registered Nurse

The Specialty CareRegistered Nurse will function as a primary care nurse in support of the physician or mid-level providers. The RN will also facilitate care management of the specialty clinics, (podiatry, orthopedics endocrine, neurology, cardiology and urology). The RN is primarily responsible for coordinating patient care to ensure quality care according to established standards of care and policy. The nurse will provide acute, chronic and preventive care and coordinate referrals. He / She will observe, interview and assess patients to identify care needs and develop, implement and evaluate standards of practice in the specialty areas. He / She will collaborate with other health care professionals and service providers to ensure optimal care. The Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Registered Nurse will function as a primary care nurse in support of the physician or mid-level providers. Duties will include, but not be limited to, oversight of nursing staff, patient intake, documentation, point of care testing and health screening. The RN will assess, triage, take histories and document conditions and concerns for veterans presenting to the clinic in person and via the telephone. The clinical nurse will coordinate care through the health continuum. Patient/health education, health coaching and health promotion are integral functions of the role. In operation since 1999, the previous Greenville CBOC included primary care, mental health, prosthetics, and physical therapy services. Along with those services, the new HCC will also offer specialty services. These services include:
Women's Health, Audiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Hepatology, Nephrology, Neurology, Urology, Podiatry, ENT, General surgery, Orthopedics, Optometry, Dental, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Laboratory services. Minor procedures such as Endoscopy will also be available. The Greenville VA Health Care Center will serve 9000 patients and has a rapidly growing patient base. We transitioned into this multi-specialty HCC in January 2014; and we anticipate a growing partnership with East Carolina University. Work Schedule:
Monday-Saturday, 8-hour tours between the hours of 7:
00 am-6:

T38 RN I-III Quals (VHA Standard) Preferred Qualifications Minimum of three years of successful clinical practice. Prior recent experience in ambulatory care/primary care nursing, including care of patients with mental health and health education needs. Previous experience in the care manager role and coordinating care/care delivery. Previous experience with telephone advice nursing. Demonstrated proficiency in using the nursing process in providing care for clients with complex care needs. Previous knowledge/experience with the patient centered medical home practice model. Demonstrated ability in the areas of interpersonal relationships, problem solving/critical thinking skills and conflict resolution. Demonstrated outcomes in working effectively with interdisciplinary team in the outpatient setting. Demonstrated ability to function independently, use good communication skills and to be flexible. Computer skills and typing proficiency sufficient to permit real-time documentation of patient encounters enter and retrieve data. Prior experience with determining patient assignments, unit management and charge nurse responsibilities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
